Front Struts

Bounce test the vehicle at the front of the vehicle to check strut function. Damping action should be pronounced and uniform. Inspect the struts for signs of leakage or other apparent damage. If strut replacement is necessary, see COIL SPRING/STRUT ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION. Check for looseness in the strut mounting bushings in the underbody or control arms.
