Coil Spring/Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Slide the bump stopper on the strut. See Figure .
  2. Use Rotunda MacPherson Strut Compressor 014-00781, or equivalent, to compress the coil spring.
  3. Install the coil spring on the strut with the end of the coil in the lower spring seat indentation. See Fig 1 .

  4. If necessary, install the dust boot on the upper spring seat.
  5. Install the upper spring seat/dust boot assembly.
  6. Install the strut bearing seat.
  7. Install the strut bearing. See Figure .
  8. Install the rubber mounting block. See Figure .
  9. Install the strut nut. See Figure . Tighten the strut nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  10. Gradually release the Rotunda MacPherson Strut Compressor 014-00781, or equivalent.
  11. Install the strut nut cover.
  12. Install the coil spring/strut assembly. See COIL SPRING/STRUT ASSEMBLY  .
