Trouble Shooting: Notes
Before performing any tests, check following for possible cause of system malfunction.
- Faulty fuses or circuit breaker.
- Loose or corroded connections.
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Damaged or misadjusted switches.
- Damaged or corroded relays.
- Vacuum leaks at servo cable.
- Damaged or binding servo cable.
- Incorrect servo adjustment.
- Damaged or misadjusted brake pedal.
- Damaged or misadjusted Transmission Range (TR) switch.
Verify speedometer, horn and stoplights function properly. Repair as necessary. Inspect servo and throttle linkage for smooth operation. Unbind as necessary. If no problems are found, perform road test to verify problem. Proceed to appropriate test based on symptom. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS .
