Pinpoint Test N: The PDIM Is Completely Inoperative - Vehicles Without Navigation

  1. N1 CHECK FOR SCAN TOOL COMMUNICATION WITH THE FDIM 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Carry out the network test using the scan tool.
    • Does the scan tool communicate with the PDIM? 
  2. N2 CHECK FOR CORRECT FDIM OPERATION 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect the PDIM  connector.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • damaged pins
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect the PDIM  connector and make sure it seats correctly.
    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present?
