61 31 156 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Control Unit In Center Armrest At Rear

Special tools required: 

NOTE: Fold down center armrest.
Open upper armrest section.

Lever out front oddments tray (1) in direction of arrow and remove.

Version with eject box only: 

Remove eject box. 

Version with center armrest storage tray (2) only: 

Attach special tools 00 9 341 as illustrated.

Unclip oddments tray in center armrest (2) in direction of arrow and remove.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2).

Pull back control unit in center armrest at rear (3), lift at front and feed out towards top.

Unlock covers (1) and fold up.

Disconnect all ribbon cables (2).

Remove control unit in center armrest at rear (3).

Replacement: 

Carry out coding/programming.

Observe following IDC specifications:
