61 34... Removing and installing/replacing power socket in front storage compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove center console . See 51 16 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
Remove bulb holder for socket lighting . See 63 99... REPLACING BULB FOR SOCKET LIGHTING IN STORAGE COMPARTMENT AT FRONT .

Carefully lever holder (1) with a suitable tool off socket receptacle in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make sure holder (1) is correctly seated on socket receptacle.

Contact strip of holder (1) must be located between socket (2) and socket receptacle.

Unlock catches of socket receptacle with a suitable tool and remove socket receptacle with socket (2) in downward direction out of center console (3).

Installation:

Catches on socket receptacle must not be damaged.

Make sure socket receptacle is correctly seated in center console (3).

Unlock catches (1) with a suitable tool and feed socket (2) in direction of arrow out of socket receptacle (3).

Installation:

Catches (1) on socket receptacle (3) must not be damaged.

Make sure socket (2) is correctly seated in socket receptacle (3).
