61 31 342 Removing And Installing/Replacing Gear Selector Switch

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove center console trim . See 51 16 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTRE CONSOLE TRIM .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque. See GENERAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Raise gear selector switch carrier (2) a little.

Disconnect associated plug connections.

Remove gear selector switch trim. . See 61 31 336 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque. See GENERAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Feed gear selector switch (2) out of carrier.

Replacement:
