12 90 100 Replacing Fan For Electronics Box (N52)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Follow instructions for removing and installing electronic control units.  See 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING AND INSTALLING ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS .

Release screw and remove holder (1).

Release screws and remove cover (2) from electronics box.

NOTE: Release screws on seal (3) only when removing wiring harness.

Installation: 

Insert tabs (1) in openings (2) and close cover.

Unlock and disconnect holder (1).

Unlock control unit (2) and pull out of device holder.

Unlock and detach plug connections on control unit (2).

Press release tabs (1) and pull slide (2) in direction of arrow out of housing.

Press release tabs (1) in direction of arrow and pull contact carrier (2) in direction of arrow out of housing.

Unlock and disconnect fuse carrier (1).

Unlock plug (2).

Unlock and disconnect relay carriers (1 and 2).

Unlock plug (3) and remove.

Lift out device holder (4).

Unlock and detach plug (1) on device holder (2).

Release screws and remove device holder (2).

Unfasten screws.

Remove fan (1) for electronics box.

Check stored fault messages.

Now clear the fault memory.
