32 31 095 Removing And Installing / Replacing Steering Column Control Unit (CIM)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection)  .
IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the control unit, make sure when installing that the baseplate is not subjected to tension.

After installation:

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection.

Release screws and remove steering column control unit.

Tightening torque. See STEERING AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .
