66 31 006 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Acc Sensor

After installation:

Replacement only: 

Build date up to 03/2005: 

NOTE: Engine hood is open.

Unclip electric cable (1) from cable guides. Release screws (2). Lever out ACC sensor (3) in direction of arrow and disconnect plug connection underneath. Remove ACC sensor (3).

Build date from 03/2005: 

Remove trim grille for bumper trim sideways. See 51 11 180 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING TRIM GRILLE IN BUMPER TRIM (UP TO 03/2005)

NOTE: Engine hood is open.

Unclip cable (1) from guide. Release rotary catches (2). Remove ACC sensor (3) in direction of arrow and disconnect plug connection underneath.

Installation: 

Make sure both guide pins (1) of ACC sensor (2) are correctly seated.

Replacement only:

Carry out rough adjustment of ACC sensor (1) at adjusting screws (2).
