Structure and inner electrical connection

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 45 other vehicles, including the 2016 BMW M5, 2016 BMW 550i xDrive, 2016 BMW 550i, 2016 BMW 535i xDrive, and 2016 BMW 535i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The heating wire air mass flow sensor is supplied by the junction box with terminal 15N (vehicle voltage).

NOTE: The heating wire air mass flow sensor has no controllable earth. With the engine at a standstill and terminal 15 On (e.g. automatic engine start-stop function), the heating wire air mass flow sensor is supplied with current. In contrast to the hot film air mass meter, no oil and dirt residues are burned in. Reason: The heating wire is configured for significantly higher temperatures.
