84 11 627 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Transmit-Receive Unit

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead. Refer to 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Remove and install left luggage compartment wheel arch trim. Refer to 51 47 151 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. Refer to 61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Unlock plug connections (1) and (2) and disconnect.

Release screws (3) and remove transmit-receive unit (4).

Replacement:

Carry out programming/coding. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROGRAMMING/CODING .
