61 31 231 Removing And Installing/Replacing Steering Wheel Electronics Control Unit

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove airbag unit . See 32 34 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING AIRBAG UNIT (BASIC STEERING WHEEL) or 32 34 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING AIRBAG UNIT (SPORT STEERING WHEEL) .
NOTE:
Illustration shows steering wheel removed.
Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Loosen screws (2).
Pull out steering wheel electronics control unit (3) slightly.
Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.
Remove steering wheel electronics control unit (3).
