54 34... Removing And Installing/Replacing Support For Clamping Bar On Left Or Right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

WARNING:

Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.

For all work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.

Ensure Convertible top is supported in the middle.

Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.

Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque, see 54 34 10AZ in 54 34 MOTOR-DRIVEN CONVERTIBLE TOP (ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS) .

Remove support (2) for tensioning bar.
