63 10... Adjust headlights for targeted illumination (Dynamic Light Spot) (with headlight adjustment device MAHA Lite 3 as of software Version V 0.78...): Notes

NOTE: Repair instructions apply only to software release from version V 0.78...
Software release is shown for a short time in the display after the device is switched on.

Comply with test prerequisites for HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT .

Functional description of Dynamic Light Spot: see LEFT-HAND TARGETED ILLUMINATION AND RIGHT-HAND TARGETED ILLUMINATION .

Refer to the manufacturer's operating instructions for the headlight adjustment device!

NOTE: Dynamic Light Spot headlight must be adjusted in the following cases:

After removing and installing/replacing the Dynamic Light Spot headlight
After removing and installing/replacing the front bumper panel
In the event of customer complaints about the lighting performance

Switch on the headlight adjustment device by pressing any button.

Press F2 button. The shown display screen appears.

Perform the following settings:

The passenger car must be selected.
Enter the setting dimension of the Dynamic Light Spot via the buttons F1/F2: 0 %
The right/left-hand traffic must be selected according to the country.
Select the headlight type via the button F3 :

The adjusted values are adopted for future measurements.

Switch the ignition on.

Perform test procedure via path:

Body
Lights
Targeted headlight illumination

Press the button for the respective side of the vehicle (1) until symbol (2) appears.

The following symbols appear in the display:

K. (5): Adjustment is optimal.
K. (4): Setting lies in the legal tolerance range. Adjust Dynamic Light Spot headlight until O. K. (5) is displayed.
Arrows (3): Setting is incorrect. Use the arrows (3) to adjust the Dynamic Light Spot headlight until O. K. (5) is displayed.

If necessary, adjust headlights for targeted illumination.
