33 32 051 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Push Rod/Integral Link

NOTE:
If the integral link is detached from the wheel carrier or swinging arm, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a wheel/chassis alignment check.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear wheel.
- Tension coil spring (and leave on vehicle). See 33 53 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT COIL SPRING .
- Version with ride-height control: Deactivate and drain air spring system . See 37 00 100 DRAINING/FILLING AIR SPRING SYSTEM .
Release nut (1) and remove screw.
Release screw (2) and remove integral link (3).
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
First install swinging arm hand-tight, then tighten down screw (2).
Tighten screw/bolt connections in normal position .
Tighten bolt and nut.
Tightening torque. See REAR AXLE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
After installation:
- Activate and fill air suspension system . See 37 00 100 DRAINING/FILLING AIR SPRING SYSTEM .
- Perform CHASSIS ALIGNMENT CHECK
