61 31 137 Removing and installing/renewing USB interface connecting socket

Special tools required: 

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Pull off seal (2) in area of side panel (1).

Unclip side panel from dashboard (1) in direction of arrow with special tool 00 9 325 and feed out at a slant to the rear.

NOTE: Do not disconnect plug connection to switch for front passenger airbag deactivation.

NOTE: Open glove box cover

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release retaining clamps (2).

Press out USB interface connecting socket (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Retaining clips (2) must not be damaged.

Make sure USB interface connecting socket (3) is correctly seated.



Necessary preliminary work 

NOTE: Open glove box

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock retaining clips (2) on left/right.

Press out USB interface connecting socket (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Retaining clips (2) must not be damaged.

Make sure USB interface connecting socket (3) is correctly seated.
