13 62 534 Replacing exhaust-gas temperature sensor (N57 D30 O/T 1 with SCR)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read out the fault memory of the DDE control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .

WARNING: Risk of burning!
Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.

Unlock connector (1) and remove.

Release cable from clamps and cable straps (2).

Replace cable straps.

Release exhaust-gas temperature sensor (3) and remove.

Tightening torque 13 62 4AZ .

IMPORTANT: When installing the exhaust-gas temperature sensor make sure that the gauge tip (1) is not damaged.

Installation note:

Check stored error/fault messages.

Clear diagnostic fault entries from fault memory.
