Front - M5 & 540i

- Move steering wheel gear into straight ahead setting Marks on housing and steering shaft must line up. See Fig 1.
- Loosen clamping screws on tie rods. Adjust toe-in of wheel by turning the tie rod precisely to specification. See Fig 2. For alignment specification, see WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
- Ensure that the ball joints are not twisted and tighten clamping screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
