Deactivation of Passenger Airbags

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2008 MINI Cooper, 2007 MINI Cooper, 2006 MINI Cooper, 2005 MINI Cooper, and 2004 MINI Cooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The front and side passenger airbags must be deactivated when a child seat is mounted on the passenger's side. This MRS utilizes an OC-3 mat for passenger seat occupancy recognition.

Airbag deactivation is indicated by the yellow symbol lighting in the airbag indicator lamp. Deactivation and activation of the passenger airbag is the responsibility of the vehicle driver.
