Service mode: Notes

Proceed as follows to call up the service mode:

• Terminal 30 g ON
• Switch off the radio
• Switch on the radio again
• Within 8 seconds, press the button for the manual station-search function and then maintain pressure for a period of at least 8 seconds
• The radio responds by switching to the service mode.

Once the radio is in the service mode the following functions can be accessed and executed:

• Display of the serial number
• Display of the software version
• Display of the revision index
• Display and setting adjustment for speed-dependent volume control (GAL)
• Display and adjustment of the setting for aerial selection
• Frequency display, field strength and station transmission quality
• Display of status and incrementation of the digital sound processor
• Display and adjustment of the minimum volume for traffic reports
• Display test
• Display and adjustment of settings for reception areas
• Display and adjustment settings of the Car & Key Memory
• Adjustment of the setting for alternate frequency tracing
• Display of test operation in development
