REAR AXLE TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Fault Cause Remedy
Grinding noise (only when cornering) Refer to 34 90 ... TROUBLESHOOTING BRAKE SYSTEM
Wheel bearings faulty Install new wheel bearings, see 33 41 153 Replacing left wheel bearing on rear axle shaft .
Vibration (90 - 160 km/h) Wheel imbalance Balance wheels, see 36 10 508 STATIONARY WHEEL BALANCING
