71 60 700 Removing and installing/replacing trailer tow hitch control unit

IMPORTANT:
Observe the INFORMATION ON PROTECTION FROM ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE .
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove right trunk wheel arch panel
Removal:
Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Loosen the retaining lugs (2) and remove the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (3) from the holder.
Installation:
Insert the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (3) into the holder and lock it on the retaining lugs (2).
Connect and lock the plug connections (1).
