Functional description
2 microcontrollers are integrated in the Car Sharing Module.
One microcontroller manages the following interfaces:
- CAN bus interface (Controller Area Network)
- LIN bus interface (Local Interconnect Network)
- Near Field Communication interface (NFC, ID reader)
- Card reader interface (= Radio Frequency Identification RFID, additional cards)
- SIM card and GSM aerial interface (= Global Standard for Mobile Communication GSM, Subscriber Identity Module SIM)
- Terminal 30 interface (DC/DC converter)
The Car Sharing Module is locked in the base plate in the center console.
Additional cards (refuelling, parking, charging) are inserted in a holder in the Car Sharing Module and monitored by the CSM control unit. A label (RFID with 125 kHz) is stuck onto additional cards so that they can be monitored.
