Remove/install Body Domain Controller (BDC) (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Clamp off BATTERY EARTH LEAD  from negative connection point
• Remove GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
• Remove right footwell SIDE TRIM PANEL ON A-PILLAR .

Removal: 

Unlock the positive battery cable connector: 

1. Loosen lock (1) in arrow direction.
2. Unfasten catch (2) on positive battery lead connector (3).
3. Remove positive battery lead connector (3) in arrow direction.

Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1) in marked area.

Release detents and pull control unit BDC (2) to the side out of holder.

Installation: 

Join control unit BDC (2) to the side in holder.

Connect all connectors (1) in marked area.

Lock positive battery cable connector: 

1. Join positive battery cable connector (3) against arrow direction.
2. Lock detent (2) to positive battery cable connector (3).
3. Close lock (1) against arrow direction.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install right footwell SIDE TRIM PANEL ON A-PILLAR .
• Install GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
• Connect BATTERY EARTH LEAD  negative terminal
