61 35 360 Removing and installing control unit for camera-based driver support systems (KAFAS)

Attention! 

Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Preliminary work needed: 

• Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT .
• Remove RIGHT GLOVE COMPARTMENT .

Removal:

Release detent on equipment holder.

Feed out KAFAS control unit (1) from equipment holder (2).

Unlock connector (1) on KAFAS control unit (2) and disconnect.

Installation:

Connect connector (1) to KAFAS control unit (2).

Join KAFAS control unit (1) in equipment holder (2).

Required follow-up work 

• Install RIGHT GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
• Connect BATTERY CABLE NEGATIVE TERMINAL .
