Accelerator Cable

  1. After installing accelerator cable, adjust free play. Run engine at idle speed. Loosen adjusting nut at cable adjusting bracket so that throttle lever is free.
  2. Slide outer cable to position at which throttle lever will begin to operate. Turn it back 1 full turn and secure it. After completing adjustment, operate accelerator arm and ensure that the throttle valve moves from fully closed to fully open.
