System Inspection

Inspect harness connector, clean and repair as needed. If tachometer is inoperative, Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) may be faulty. If it is determined that the CPS is out of specification but engine still runs, check for faulty coolant temperature sensor, idle air/speed control motor and/or incorrect idle speed adjustment.
