Valve Spring

  1. Measure the valve spring free height. If the measurement is less than specified, replace spring.
    1. Standard value: 50.4 mm (1.98 inches) 
    2. Limit: 49.4 mm (1.94 inches) 
  2. Measure the squareness of the spring. If the measurement is less than specified, replace the spring.
    1. Standard value: 2° or less 
    2. Limit: 4°
