DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE:
Use the following test to check overall function of the closed loop control. During this test, a DTC may not be confirmed.
NOTE:
If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
NOTE:
Never raise engine speed above 3600 RPM during DTC confirmation test. If engine speed limit is exceeded, retry procedure from step 2
.
NOTE:
Before performing following procedure, confirm battery voltage is more than 11 volts at idle.
- Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- Set voltmeter probes between engine ground and ECM harness connector F101 terminal No. 91 (Bank 1 HO2S1 signal) or No. 92 (Bank 2 HO2S1 signal).
- Check one of the following with engine speed held at 2000 RPM constant under no load:
- Maximum voltage is more than 0.7 volt at least one time.
- Minimum voltage is less than 0.21 volt at least one time.
- If voltage reading is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
