DTC Confirmation Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Infiniti G35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
NOTE: This test may be conducted with the drive wheels lifted in the shop or by driving vehicle. If a road test is expected to be easier, it is unnecessary to lift vehicle.

Start engine (VDC switch off). Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Drive vehicle at more than 25 MPH (40 km/h). If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to next step. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
