DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
NOTE: Use this procedure to check overall function of PNP switch circuit. During this check, a DTC might not be confirmed.

Turn ignition on. Backprobe between engine ground and ECM harness connector F101 terminal No. 44. With selector lever in "N" or "P" position, voltage should be about zero volts. With selector lever in any other position, voltage should be 11-14 volts. If voltage is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If voltage is as specified, system is okay at this time.
