DTC Confirmation Test "A" (Using Generic Scan Tool)

- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between engine ground and radiator coolant temperature sensor signal circuit at ECM terminal No. 122 (Green/Red wire) by backprobing. See Figure and Figure .
- Ensure voltage is more than 1.23 volts. Allow engine to cool, if necessary. Start engine and let it idle for at least 5 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, turn ignition off, wait at least 10 seconds and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST "B" .
