Ignition System: Notes

All vehicles are equipped with high energy ignition systems capable of producing in excess of 50,000 volts. Vehicles not using a C(3)I (3.3L and 3.8L), IDI (2.3L) or DIS (2.0L TBI, 2.2L, 2.5L and some 3.1L) systems are equipped with a High Energy Ignition Electronic Spark Timing (HEI-EST) distributor.
