Test M: Electronic Brake Control Module/Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBCM/EBTCM) Problem

  1. Perform ABS/TCS functional check before proceeding. See ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK  . Go to next step.
  2. Clear codes. Test drive vehicle. If Code 71 is not set, no problem is found at this time. If Code 71 is set during test drive, replace EBCM/EBTCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE/ELECTRONIC BRAKE TRACTION CONTROL MODULE (EBCM/EBTCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs are complete, clear codes, and repeat ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK  .
