Circuit Description

When ignition switch is first turned to RUN position, EBCM/EBTCM goes through a self-test, which lasts 2-4 seconds. During self-test, EBCM/EBTCM grounds terminal No. 52, causing Amber ANTI-LOCK warning light to illuminate.

When low fluid condition exists, EBCM/EBTCM turns on Amber ANTI-LOCK warning light, but does not set DTC. Low fluid level condition usually lights Red BRAKE warning light since master cylinder supplies brake fluid to Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) reservoir. Restrictions or air in hose could cause a low fluid condition in PMV reservoir without lighting Red BRAKE warning light.
