Code 43, Bank 2 Oxygen Sensor Rich Exhaust: Notes

Code will set if Codes 14, 15, 16 ,21, 22, 26, 27, 31, 32, 34 and 119 are not set, throttle switch is open, throttle angle is 5.4-25.0 degrees, engine is at operating temperature, engine speed is greater than 800 RPM, traction control is not active, bank 2 sensor voltage is less than 0.3 volt for more than 50 seconds and MAP is greater than 20.2 kPa.

1. If Code 17 is also set, use that chart first.
2. If oxygen sensor is operating properly, voltage will fluctuate below 0.6 volt. A rich condition will cause voltage to remain greater than 0.6 volt. If less than 0.95 volt is measured, PCM and sensor high circuit are okay.
3. Checks for short to voltage on sensor high circuit.
