Code 85, Idle Learn Throttle Position At Maximum Authority: Notes

Code will set if A/C is off and idle learned throttle angle is 3.9 degrees or greater, or if A/C is on and idle learned throttle angle is 3.9 degrees or greater.

1. Checks for other throttle position codes being set.
2. Checks if throttle body deposits are causing the increase in learned throttle angle. Also, a loose fitting air cleaner or air intake duct may also allow debris to enter the throttle body.
3. Checks if ISC motor can retract far enough to close throttle position switch.
4. Checks for proper operation of ISC motor.
