Code 89, Extended Shift: Notes

Code will set if Codes 21, 22, 24, 56, 57, 59 and 79 are not set, vehicle speed is 10 MPH or greater, throttle angle is 15.7 degrees or greater, transaxle temperature is 90°C or greater, 1-2 shift is .55 second or greater and adapt cannot shorten shift time for one second, 2-3 shift time is .55 second or greater and adapt cannot shorten shift time for one second or 3-4 shift time is .55 second or greater and adapt cannot shorten shift time for one second.

1. Checks for other codes.
2. Checks transaxle pressure.
3. Attempts to reset code.
4. Checks which shift was soft.
