Code 93, TCS Desired Torque Signal Loss

Code will set if no traction control system failure is detected and there are no traction control system PWM signal pulses are detected by PCM.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Checks for a traction control communication code also set which would determine if it is just a PCM problem or not.
  2. Checks for correct output voltage of 4-8 volts from EBTCM.
  3. Checks delivered torque output circuit for short to voltage.
  4. Checks delivered torque output circuit for short to ground.
  5. Checks delivered torque output circuit for open.
  6. Checks for correct PCM input voltage of 1.5-3.5 volts.
  7. Checks delivered torque PWM input circuit for open.
  8. Checks delivered torque PWM input circuit for short to voltage.
  9. Checks delivered torque PWM input circuit for short to ground.
  10. Checks if EBTCM is able to request desired torque from PCM.
