DTC B2558, Interior Light Control Output Short To Battery
- If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Disconnect BFC 24-pin Pink connector C3, terminal A11 (White wire). Using DVOM, check voltage at BFC harness connector C3, terminal A11 (White wire). If zero volts exists, go to next step. If zero volts does not exist, go to step 8).
- Disconnect left I/P bussed electrical center connector C3, terminal C10 (White wire). Using DVOM, check voltage at BFC harness connector C3, terminal A11 (White wire). If zero volts exists, go to step 5). If zero volts does not exist, go to next step.
- Repair short to battery in White wire between BFC connector C3 and left I/P bussed electrical center connector C3. Go to step 9).
- Check for poor connection at BFC connector C3, terminal A11 (White wire). If a poor connection exists, go to next step. If connection is okay, go to step 7).
- Repair poor connection at BFC connector C3, terminal A11 (White wire). Go to step 9).
- Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Go to step 9).
- Locate and repair problem in interior light system. See appropriate wiring diagram in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. Go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Perform BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
