Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Buffer Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva, and 1997 Buick Skylark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) buffer assembly receives a signal from VSS permanent magnet generator, indicating vehicle speed. This signal is then processed by VSS buffer assembly and supplied to Powertrain Control Module (PCM), cruise control module, and speedometer.
