Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Buffer Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Pontiac Grand Am, 1998 Oldsmobile Achieva, and 1998 Buick Skylark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) buffer assembly receives a signal from VSS permanent magnet generator, indicating vehicle speed. This signal is then processed by VSS buffer assembly and supplied to Powertrain Control Module (PCM), cruise control module assembly, and speedometer.
