Diagnostic Procedure
- If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, see DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on, engine off. Using scan tool, check status of DTC B1302. If DTC is current, go to next step. If DTC is not current, problem is intermittent.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect RCDLR. Connect a DVOM between RCDLR connector terminal "E" and ground. See Figure . If voltage is not battery voltage, go to next step. If voltage is battery voltage, go to step 5 .
- Check Light Green wire or Black wire between RCDLR connector terminal "E" and BCM connector C3 terminal A1 for short ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem was found, repair as necessary, and go to step 7 . If problem was not found, go to step 6 .
- Check RCDLR connector for poor connections. If connector is okay, replace RCDLR. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER (RCDLR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram transmitters. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 7 .
- Check BCM connectors for poor connections. If connectors are okay, replace BCM. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate system to verify repair.
