Sensor String: Notes

Sensor string consists of an in-car sensor, an ambient sensor, and temperature control lever. The three units are connected in series in order to send a control signal to amplifier. As ambient or in-car temperatures vary, resistance of this series circuit is varied by sensors and also by temperature control lever, thus creating a variable signal received by amplifier. In-car sensor is located behind a grille in instrument panel. Ambient sensor is located in plenum panel behind glove box.
