Test VER-2 - Verification Procedure

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Reconnect and reassemble all previously tested components. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure DRB-II is attached to diagnostic connector. Erase faults. Start engine, and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM for 10 seconds.
  2. Read faults. If faults exist, go to next step. If no faults exist, road test vehicle for a driveability problem. If a driveability problem does not exist, test is complete.
  3. If a driveability problem exists, check for any TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS (TSBs) related to problem. If no TSBs exist, return to TEST DR-1A. If TSBs exist, repair as required.
