Torque Converter Lock-Up Relay
- Torque converter lock-up relay is located in engine compartment. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using a DVOM in voltmeter mode, backprobe Orange/Black wire at relay. If voltage is more than 10 volts, see appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. If voltage is less than 10 volts, disconnect and inspect relay connector. Repair as necessary.
- If connector is okay, backprobe Dark Blue wire at relay. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace lock-up relay. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Dark Blue wire.
