Information Center Test 6A - High Beam Indicator Light

NOTE: Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Turn high beam headlights on. Ensure turn signals are off. If high beam headlights do not illuminate, go to EXTERIOR LIGHT TEST 1A  . If high beam headlights illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect information center. Remove and inspect high beam indicator light bulb. Replace as needed. Remove ignition key. Turn off all lights and accessories. Close all doors. Go to next step.
  3. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black wire) on information center connector. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Red/Orange wire) on information center connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Red/Orange wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace information center.
