Fuel Injector: Installation
- If injector is being replaced, always ensure it is replaced with an identical part. Lubricate new upper and lower "O" rings with ATF and place them on the injector. Ensure the upper "O" ring is in the groove and the lower one is flush against the filter. Install injector in throttle body.
- Ensure the electrical connector end of the injector faces the cut-out in the throttle body for the wiring grommet. Install retainer using thread locking compound on threads of retaining screw. Tighten retaining screw to 28 INCH lbs. (3 N.m). With engine off and ignition on, check for fuel leaks.
