Throttle Body Assembly: Installation
- Install new base gasket and install TBI assembly. Tighten mounting bolts to 12 ft. lbs. (17 N.m). Using new "O" ring seals, reconnect fuel inlet and outlet nuts and hand tighten. Using a back-up wrench on fittings, tighten nuts to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m).
- Reconnect vacuum hoses. Install throttle linkage, and control cables as applicable. Connect wiring to fuel metering components. Ensure accelerator pedal movement is free. With engine off, check full throttle position and return. Turn ignition on and check for fuel leaks. Start engine and recheck for fuel and vacuum leaks.
